At Sunny’s Kitchen Delights, every jar is more than a sweet treat — it’s a small step toward balance, wellness, and joy. Inspired by the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, I began creating herbal jams that nourish both body and mind using natural ingredients like Tulsi, Ginger, Amla, Ashwagandha, and Triphala.
🍯 What Is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, born in India more than 5,000 years ago. It teaches that health depends on a delicate balance between the body, mind, and spirit — and that food plays a key role in maintaining that harmony.
When I first learned about this philosophy, it immediately connected with my passion for creating natural, handmade foods that heal from the inside out.
🌸 My Herbal Jam Collection and Their Benefits
Tulsi Ginger Jam – For Calm and Balance
Tulsi (Holy Basil) is known as the “Queen of Herbs” in Ayurveda. It helps reduce stress, strengthens the immune system, and supports respiratory health. Combined with Ginger, this jam brings warmth and clarity — perfect for grounding your mornings or soothing your evenings.
Tulsi Ginger Jams
💡 Enjoy it with warm tea, toast, or as a spoonful before meditation.
Amla Cinnamon Jam – For Vitality and Glow
Amla (Indian Gooseberry) is one of Ayurveda’s richest sources of vitamin C and antioxidants. It supports digestion, rejuvenates skin, and promotes longevity. Paired with Cinnamon, which balances blood sugar and boosts circulation, this jam is both energizing and comforting.
💡 Delicious on Greek yogurt or stirred into oatmeal.
Ashwagandha Strawberry Jam – For Energy and Resilience
Ashwagandha is famous for reducing stress and improving stamina. In this jam, it meets sweet strawberries, creating a blend that uplifts your energy without spikes or crashes.
💡 A perfect companion for smoothies, pancakes, or even as a topping for almond muffins.
Triphala Blueberry Jam – For Cleansing and Digestion
Triphala is a blend of three fruits (Amalaki, Bibhitaki, and Haritaki) that work together to detoxify and support digestive health. Combined with antioxidant-rich blueberries, this jam becomes a gentle daily tonic for inner balance.
💡 Try a spoonful after meals or spread it on multigrain bread.
Guduchi Grape Jam – For Immunity and Strength
Guduchi, also known as Giloy, is a powerful immune-booster in Ayurveda. It helps purify the blood and enhance vitality. Mixed with grapes, it creates a naturally refreshing jam that supports recovery and endurance.
💡 Pair it with cheese or use it as a glaze for roasted vegetables.
🌼 Why I Chose to Make Ayurvedic Jams
Each herbal jam was born from a personal journey — helping my family find natural balance, more energy, and better well-being. Ayurveda taught me that food can be medicine, and I wanted to share that wisdom through something simple, familiar, and joyful: jam!
I create each jar with love and intention, using organic fruits, healing herbs, and natural sweeteners like coconut sugar or honey, so every bite supports your health and your taste buds.
✨ A Sweet Path to Wellness
In a world that moves too fast, a spoonful of something mindful can remind us to slow down. My herbal jams are meant to do just that — reconnect you with your senses, your health, and the goodness of nature.
💛 Taste wellness in every jar — naturally, lovingly, and deliciously.

Joining a farmers market for the first time is exciting—and maybe even a little intimidating! At Sunny’s Kitchen Delights, we recently had our first experience as vendors at the Zoo Miami Farmers Market, and we learned a lot. Whether you’re selling jams, breads, crafts, or produce, here are some helpful tips to make your debut smooth, fun, and successful:
1. Do Your Homework
Before the big day, research the market.
What are the setup and teardown hours?
What equipment is allowed or provided?
Is electricity or water available?
Are there rules about packaging or labeling (especially for cottage food businesses)?
Every market has its own personality—knowing the details ahead of time helps you prepare confidently.
2. Bring a Professional Setup
Presentation matters! Invest in:
A clean, sturdy tent with weights
A folding table with tablecloths (neutral or on-brand colors work best)
Clear signage with your logo, pricing, and product info
Samples or testers (if permitted)
Don’t forget a comfy chair, water, and maybe a small fan if it’s a hot day!
3. Be Product-Ready
Prepare enough inventory, but don’t overdo it your first time. At our debut, we brought:
200 jars of jam
30 protein breads
400 almond bombs
Scale based on your expectations and how large the market is. Always label products clearly and keep extra supplies (change, shopping bags, ingredient lists) nearby.
4. Make Payments Easy
Many customers expect to pay with cards or apps.
Accept cash and have change
Offer Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App
Use a card reader like Square or PayPal Zettle if possible
Displaying a sign with accepted payment options boosts buyer confidence.
5. Tell Your Story
Customers love to connect with local makers. Share:
How you got started
What inspires your products
Your values (like being family-owned or using local ingredients)
People often come back because they love you as much as your product.
6. Engage With Customers
Smile, say hello, and be open to questions! Offer tastings if allowed—it’s one of the best ways to win hearts (and repeat buyers). Have a signup sheet or QR code for your mailing list or social media.
7. Prepare for the Weather
Check the forecast the night before. Bring:
Sunscreen and hats
Rain protection (tarps, ponchos, waterproof bins)
Ice packs or coolers for perishable items
Heat advisories are real—hydrate and pace yourself.
8. Network With Other Vendors
Introduce yourself to your neighbors! Many seasoned vendors are happy to share tips. Collaborations, referrals, and friendships often start at your booth’s edge.
9. Promote Before and After
Post your participation on social media ahead of time
Tag the market and use local hashtags
After the event, share photos and thank your customers
Let your followers know where to find you next, or how to order online.
10. Take Notes and Reflect
At the end of the day, jot down:
What sold well (and what didn’t)
Customer feedback
Any supplies you forgot
Ideas for improvement
Every market is a learning experience—and you’ll only get better!
Final Thought Joining a farmers market is more than just selling—it’s about connecting, learning, and growing. At Sunny’s Kitchen Delights, we’ve embraced the journey and can’t wait to return for more market days. We hope these tips help you feel empowered to take your booth to the next level!
Our First Time at the Zoo Farmers Market – A Weekend to Remember
We had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Zoo Miami Farmers Market, and what a rewarding experience it was! It was our very first time joining as vendors, and as a small, family-owned cottage business, we were equally excited and nervous.
In preparation, we produced 200 jars of jam, 30 breads, and 400 almond bombs—a true labor of love. On the first day of the market, we arrived bright and early to set up our tent and display our products. Having only ever attended farmers markets as customers, stepping into the vendor role was a whole new adventure. That first day became our learning day—we observed how other vendors organized their booths, engaged with customers, and presented their products. It was fascinating and inspiring.
Despite the heat advisory that weekend, we had a steady flow of interest and solid sales. I even thought ahead and brought Pedialyte to help us stay hydrated during the intense heat. As the day progressed, we connected with other vendors, exchanged contacts, and even received additional orders, which we fulfilled between Saturday and Sunday after the market wrapped up.
On Sunday, things got even more exciting. We learned that you don’t have to commit to both days—participation is flexible—but we were glad we stayed. Sunday brought new neighbors, more customers, and valuable insight. One key change we made was offering samples of our jams, and that made a huge difference! Customers loved trying the flavors, and our sales exceeded those of Saturday.
Even during the slower season and under challenging weather conditions, we had a successful weekend. We’re already looking forward to returning in September—this market gave us energy, joy, and plenty of ideas to grow.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to support us—we truly loved every moment of it! 💛
